As a part of the initiative, Eskenazi Health launched a pilot program around three health engagement zones located on the west side, east side, and northeast corridor. Health engagement zones are geographic regions in Indianapolis where multiple organizations are working to address long-term social drivers of health \u2013 such as employment, housing, and substance use \u2013 to ultimately increase life expectancy for residents.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n<section class=\"block wordpress-block wordpress-paragraph core-paragraph\">\n<p>In December 2023, the Fairbanks Foundation <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rmff.org\/grantmaking\/grants-awarded\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iginawad<\/a> a $3 million grant to support the health engagement zones pilot.
