Im Jahr 2020 richtete der Vorstand das Charitable Grants-Programm ein, um dem Interesse des Stiftungsgr\u00fcnders Richard M. \u201eDick\u201c Fairbanks gerecht zu werden, kleine, uneingeschr\u00e4nkte Zusch\u00fcsse an kleine Organisationen zu vergeben, bei denen diese Betr\u00e4ge einen bedeutenden Unterschied machen k\u00f6nnten. W\u00e4hrend der Gro\u00dfteil der philanthropischen Mittel der Stiftung weiterhin ihren drei Schwerpunktbereichen zugewiesen wird: Ausbildung<\/a>, Gesundheit<\/a>, und das Vitalit\u00e4t von Indianapolis<\/a>Das Charitable Grants-Programm erm\u00f6glicht es der Stiftung, j\u00e4hrliche Zusch\u00fcsse in H\u00f6he von $25.000 pro Zuschussempf\u00e4nger an eine rotierende Liste von bis zu sechs (6) gemeinn\u00fctzigen Organisationen zu vergeben. Dieses Programm, das 2021 in Kraft trat, setzt die lange Geschichte der Stiftung im Bereich wohlt\u00e4tiger Spenden fort. Seit ihrer Gr\u00fcndung hat die Stiftung fast $9,9 Millionen an kleinen wohlt\u00e4tigen Zusch\u00fcssen vergeben. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

So funktioniert das neue Charitable Grants-Programm. Jedes Jahr identifiziert die Stiftung Finanzierungsthemen basierend auf den dringendsten Bed\u00fcrfnissen in Indianapolis. Diese Themen dienen als Grundlage f\u00fcr die Auswahl von sechs Organisationen in Indianapolis, die diese Bed\u00fcrfnisse in unserer Stadt ansprechen. Organisationen k\u00f6nnen sich nicht f\u00fcr das Charitable Grants-Programm bewerben und die Zusch\u00fcsse werden einmalig vergeben.  <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

In diesem ersten Jahr der Programmumsetzung konzentrierte sich die Stiftung auf die folgenden Bed\u00fcrfnisse: (1) Obdachlosigkeit und Wohnungsinstabilit\u00e4t; (2) Rassenungleichheit; (3) Strafjustiz und Wiedereingliederung; und (4) Ern\u00e4hrungsunsicherheit. Die Zuschussempf\u00e4nger f\u00fcr 2021 sind: Die wachsende Indy-Gruppe<\/a>; Willkommenszentrum f\u00fcr Einwanderer<\/a>; Indy Hunger Network<\/a>; Mackida Loveal und Trip Mentoring Outreach Center<\/a>; Dreifaltigkeitshafen<\/a>; Und Westminster Nachbarschaftsdienste<\/a>.
