De todas as crises de drogas que assolaram os EUA, a epidemia de opi\u00e1ceos est\u00e1 entre as mais mortais da hist\u00f3ria \u2013 tanto que as autoridades eleitas a declararam uma emerg\u00eancia nacional de sa\u00fade p\u00fablica h\u00e1 dois anos.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

As overdoses de drogas envolvendo opi\u00e1ceos custaram quase 400.000 vidas nas \u00faltimas duas d\u00e9cadas (1999-2017), quase o mesmo n\u00famero de militares dos EUA que morreram durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. S\u00f3 em 2017, 47.600 americanos perderam a vida devido a esta crise das drogas, e o n\u00famero de mortes por overdose de drogas contribuiu para o decl\u00ednio da esperan\u00e7a de vida na Am\u00e9rica nos \u00faltimos tr\u00eas anos.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n\n
