En 2020, le Conseil d'administration a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le programme de subventions caritatives pour s'aligner sur l'int\u00e9r\u00eat du fondateur de la Fondation, Richard M. \u00ab Dick \u00bb Fairbanks, d'accorder de petites subventions sans restriction \u00e0 de petites organisations o\u00f9 ces montants pourraient faire une diff\u00e9rence significative. M\u00eame si la majeure partie du financement philanthropique de la Fondation continuera d'\u00eatre allou\u00e9e \u00e0 ses trois domaines d'intervention \u00c9ducation<\/a>, Sant\u00e9<\/a>, et le Vitalit\u00e9 d'Indianapolis<\/a>, le programme de subventions caritatives permet \u00e0 la Fondation d'octroyer des subventions annuelles d'un montant de $25 000 par b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiaire \u00e0 une liste tournante comprenant jusqu'\u00e0 six (6) organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif. Ce programme, entr\u00e9 en vigueur en 2021, poursuit la longue histoire de dons de bienfaisance de la Fondation. Depuis sa cr\u00e9ation, la Fondation a allou\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de $9,9 millions de petites subventions caritatives. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Voici comment fonctionne le nouveau programme de subventions caritatives. Chaque ann\u00e9e, la Fondation identifie des th\u00e8mes de financement en fonction des besoins urgents \u00e0 Indianapolis. Ces th\u00e8mes guident la s\u00e9lection de six organisations d'Indianapolis qui r\u00e9pondent \u00e0 ces besoins dans notre ville. Les organisations ne peuvent pas postuler au programme de subventions caritatives et les subventions sont accord\u00e9es sur une base unique.  <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Au cours de cette ann\u00e9e inaugurale de mise en \u0153uvre du programme, la Fondation s'est concentr\u00e9e sur les besoins suivants : (1) l'itin\u00e9rance et l'instabilit\u00e9 du logement ; (2) l'iniquit\u00e9 raciale ; (3) justice p\u00e9nale et r\u00e9insertion ; et (4) l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire. Les boursiers 2021 sont : Le groupe Indy en pleine croissance<\/a>; Centre d'accueil des immigrants<\/a>; R\u00e9seau de la faim d'Indy<\/a>; Centre de sensibilisation Mackida Loveal & Trip Mentoring<\/a>; Havre de la Trinit\u00e9<\/a>; et Services de quartier de Westminster<\/a>.
