La Fundaci\u00f3n Richard M. Fairbanks se enorgullece de anunciar subvenciones \u00fanicas para seis organizaciones sin fines de lucro que realizan un trabajo vital para abordar las causas fundamentales de los delitos violentos. Los beneficiarios de las subvenciones ben\u00e9ficas de este a\u00f1o son los Red de violencia dom\u00e9stica<\/a>, Corporaci\u00f3n Eclectic Soul VOICES<\/a>, Centro Martin Luther King<\/a>, Academias de Liderazgo Phalen Indiana<\/a>, No m\u00e1s silencio<\/a>, Inc. y 1 como yo de Thomas Ridley<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

2022 marca el segundo a\u00f1o del programa de subvenciones ben\u00e9ficas de la Fundaci\u00f3n Richard M. Fairbanks, que proporciona seis subvenciones \u00fanicas, cada una por un monto de $25,000, a organizaciones sin fines de lucro de Indian\u00e1polis seg\u00fan el tema de financiaci\u00f3n de ese a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

El tema de la financiaci\u00f3n para 2022 es especialmente oportuno, ya que en 2021, Indian\u00e1polis registr\u00f3 su a\u00f1o m\u00e1s violento de su historia con 249 homicidios criminales<\/a>. Este total sigue a aumentos sustanciales en 2020 en los homicidios con armas de fuego, particularmente de personas negras, hombres y j\u00f3venes de 15 a 24 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Cada a\u00f1o, la Fundaci\u00f3n elige un tema de financiaci\u00f3n basado en las necesidades apremiantes de Indian\u00e1polis, y la Fundaci\u00f3n se gu\u00eda por este tema al seleccionar seis organizaciones sin fines de lucro de Indian\u00e1polis que abordan estas necesidades apremiantes. La Fundaci\u00f3n identifica estas organizaciones a trav\u00e9s de investigaciones y conversaciones con l\u00edderes municipales y comunitarios con experiencia en las comunidades y el liderazgo vecinal de Indian\u00e1polis.
