En 2020, la Junta estableci\u00f3 el programa Charitable Grants para alinearse con el inter\u00e9s del fundador de la Fundaci\u00f3n, Richard M. \u201cDick\u201d Fairbanks, de otorgar peque\u00f1as subvenciones sin restricciones a peque\u00f1as organizaciones donde estos montos podr\u00edan marcar una diferencia significativa. Si bien la mayor parte de la financiaci\u00f3n filantr\u00f3pica de la Fundaci\u00f3n seguir\u00e1 asign\u00e1ndose a sus tres \u00e1reas de inter\u00e9s: Educaci\u00f3n<\/a>, Salud<\/a>, y el Vitalidad de Indian\u00e1polis<\/a>, el programa Charitable Grants permite a la Fundaci\u00f3n otorgar subvenciones anuales por un monto de $25,000 por beneficiario a una lista rotativa de hasta seis (6) organizaciones sin fines de lucro. Este programa, que entr\u00f3 en vigor en 2021, contin\u00faa la larga historia de donaciones caritativas de la Fundaci\u00f3n. Desde su creaci\u00f3n, la Fundaci\u00f3n ha otorgado casi $9,9 millones en peque\u00f1as subvenciones ben\u00e9ficas. <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

As\u00ed es como funciona el nuevo programa Charitable Grants. Cada a\u00f1o, la Fundaci\u00f3n identifica temas de financiaci\u00f3n basados en las necesidades urgentes de Indian\u00e1polis. Estos temas gu\u00edan la selecci\u00f3n de seis organizaciones de Indian\u00e1polis que abordan estas necesidades en nuestra ciudad. Las organizaciones no pueden postularse al programa Charitable Grants y las subvenciones se otorgan una sola vez.  <\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Durante este a\u00f1o inaugural de implementaci\u00f3n del programa, la Fundaci\u00f3n se centr\u00f3 en las siguientes necesidades: (1) falta de vivienda e inestabilidad de la vivienda; (2) desigualdad racial; (3) justicia penal y reingreso; y (4) inseguridad alimentaria. Los beneficiarios de las subvenciones de 2021 son: El creciente grupo Indy<\/a>; Centro de bienvenida a inmigrantes<\/a>; Red contra el hambre en India<\/a>; Mackida Loveal y Centro de extensi\u00f3n de mentor\u00eda de viaje<\/a>; Trinidad refugio<\/a>; y Servicios vecinales de Westminster<\/a>.
