Fettleibigkeit hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten dramatisch zugenommen und ist zu einer der bedeutendsten vermeidbaren Ursachen f\u00fcr Krankheit und Tod in den USA geworden. In den letzten 20 Jahren ist die Fettleibigkeitsrate in Indiana kontinuierlich gestiegen, von 20 Prozent im Jahr 1995 auf 34 Prozent im Jahr 2017. Jeder dritte Erwachsene in Indiana ist fettleibig und mehr als zwei von drei sind \u00fcbergewichtig oder fettleibig. Indianas Fettleibigkeitsrate ist die zw\u00f6lfth\u00f6chste in den USA. In Marion County sind 39 Prozent der Erwachsenen fettleibig, ein kontinuierlicher Anstieg gegen\u00fcber 26 Prozent im Jahr 2005 und 33 Prozent im Jahr 2012.
