Opioidkonsumst\u00f6rungen (OUD) sind sowohl auf nationaler Ebene als auch in Marion County, Indiana, ein ernstes Problem. Im Jahr 2017 erlitten 365 Einwohner von Marion County t\u00f6dliche Drogen\u00fcberdosen, wobei die altersbereinigte Rate 38,9 pro 100.000 Personen betrug, verglichen mit einer Rate von 29,4 pro 100.000 Personen im Bundesstaat. Ein aktueller Bericht ergab, dass 81% aller Todesf\u00e4lle durch \u00dcberdosierung in Marion County auf Opioide zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren waren und dass opioidbedingte Todesf\u00e4lle durch \u00dcberdosierung oft untersch\u00e4tzt wurden, da auf vielen Totenscheinen in Indiana die f\u00fcr die \u00dcberdosierung verantwortlichen spezifischen Medikamente nicht angegeben waren.
