2022 ist das zweite Jahr f\u00fcr das Charitable Grants-Programm der Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation, das sechs einmalige Zusch\u00fcsse \u2013 jeweils in H\u00f6he von $25.000 \u2013 an gemeinn\u00fctzige Organisationen in Indianapolis vergibt, basierend auf dem Finanzierungsthema des jeweiligen Jahres.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Das Finanzierungsthema f\u00fcr 2022 ist besonders aktuell, da Indianapolis im Jahr 2021 sein gewaltt\u00e4tigstes Jahr aller Zeiten verzeichnete mit 249 kriminelle T\u00f6tungsdelikte<\/a>. Diese Gesamtzahl folgt auf einen erheblichen Anstieg der Zahl der mit Schusswaffen begangenen T\u00f6tungsdelikte im Jahr 2020, insbesondere bei Schwarzen, M\u00e4nnern und Jugendlichen im Alter von 15 bis 24 Jahren.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Jedes Jahr w\u00e4hlt die Stiftung ein Finanzierungsthema basierend auf den dringendsten Bed\u00fcrfnissen in Indianapolis und orientiert sich an diesem Thema bei der Auswahl von sechs gemeinn\u00fctzigen Organisationen in Indianapolis, die diese dringenden Bed\u00fcrfnisse ansprechen. Die Stiftung identifiziert diese Organisationen durch Recherchen und Gespr\u00e4che mit Stadt- und Gemeindef\u00fchrern mit Fachwissen zu Gemeinden und Nachbarschaftsf\u00fchrung in Indianapolis. Gemeinn\u00fctzige Organisationen k\u00f6nnen sich nicht f\u00fcr das Charitable Grants-Programm bewerben und die Zusch\u00fcsse werden einmalig vergeben.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

W\u00e4hrend der Gro\u00dfteil der philanthropischen Mittel der Stiftung weiterhin in die Schwerpunktbereiche Bildung, Gesundheit und Vitalit\u00e4t von Indianapolis flie\u00dft, tr\u00e4gt das Charitable Grants-Programm dazu bei, Dick Fairbanks Tradition kleinerer wohlt\u00e4tiger Zusch\u00fcsse fortzuf\u00fchren.
